The campaign, titled "Developing a Strategic Roadmap for Structured Content," comprises webinars, white papers, and an ROI Blueprint, a tool for identifying the business benefits of structured content throughout the enterprise. Gilbane Group is supporting the campaign with research, content, and webinar participation. 

The three webinars look at how companies are leveraging structured content today, or planning to do so in the future. The first event is scheduled for September 11 and focuses on current practice and benchmarking your adoption against leading organizations. Pioneering research combines content and localization/translation management market perspectives to present unique insight into current state of content globalization&lt;/em&gt;&lt;/strong&gt;

&lt;em&gt;&lt;strong&gt;Cambridge MA, August 20. &lt;/strong&gt;&lt;/em&gt;Gilbane Group, Inc., the analyst and consulting firm focused on content technologies and their application to high-value business solutions, today announced the publication of its latest research report, &lt;em&gt;Multilingual Communications as a Business Imperative: Why Companies Need to Optimize the Global Content Value Chain.&lt;/em&gt;

The study is backed by in-depth qualitative research on how global businesses are creating, managing, and publishing multilingual content. Given that many companies expect growth from multinational revenues, 92% of respondents are concerned about the risks of not improving content globalization processes. The research identifies key challenges, including a gap between strategic business goals and investments in multilingual communications, difficulties in balancing centralized and regional operations, and the lack of integration and interoperability across authoring, content management, localization/translation management, and publishing components. Moreover, the study reveals how industry leaders are addressing these challenges, and provides Gilbane's recommendations on best practices. 

"Global businesses recognize the need to address localization and translation in tandem with content creation and management, but they are often stymied, even overwhelmed, by how to achieve this," commented Leonor Ciarlone, Senior Analyst, Gilbane Group, and study director for &lt;em&gt;Multilingual Communications&lt;/em&gt;. Gilbane's study methodology included in-depth interviews with 40 content and localization/translation management practitioners in multinational organizations. The result is a unified perspective on the full spectrum of multilingual content processes, previously viewed as isolated activities. &lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma" size="1"&gt;&lt;b&gt;&lt;i&gt;Cambridge MA, June 9, 2008. &lt;/i&gt;&lt;/b&gt;Gilbane Group Inc. today announced the general release of &lt;i&gt;Collaboration and Social Media 2008- Taking Stock of Today's Experiences and Tomorrow's Opportunities,&lt;/i&gt; a comprehensive investigation of the growing market for social computing technologies and solutions. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma" size="1"&gt;&lt;i&gt;Collaboration and Social Media 2008 &lt;/i&gt; shows how social media, based on &amp;ldquo;Web 2.0&amp;rdquo; technologies, is approaching the tipping-point. First generation tools now in widespread use, such as text-oriented email, web sites, and shared workspaces, are soon to be supplemented by social media applications that incorporate blogs, wikis, social bookmarking, rich media, and other innovative technologies. The Gilbane research report predicts the transition from horizontal applications to vertical solutions, and offers a number of strategies to help companies with the transition. &amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma" size="1"&gt;Co-authored by Geoffrey Bock Lead Analyst for Collaboration and Steve Paxhia, Director of the Publishing Strategy &amp;amp; Technology Practice, the 130-page report combines a national survey of marketing executives with in-depth case studies of ten companies and a comprehensive vendor catalog. Nora Ganin Barnes, Director of the Center for Marketing Research at the University of Massachusetts Dartmouth, led the survey team that interviewed business leaders in medium and large American companies.&amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma" size="1"&gt;&amp;ldquo;Compared with the high penetration rates for first generation tools, adoption rates for Web 2.0 applications are still at a low level,&amp;rdquo; says Bock. &amp;ldquo;But marketing executives who are using Web 2.0 solutions rate many of these new technologies as being very effective. As word spreads, I believe that companies are going to profit greatly from new ways of doing business.&amp;rdquo; &amp;nbsp;&lt;/font&gt;&lt;/p&gt;
&lt;p&gt;&lt;font face="Verdana, Arial, Helvetica, sans-serif, Tahoma" size="1"&gt;The case studies illustrate how social media is used to build brands, generate new ideas, and improve the efficiency of the interactions among all stakeholders including employees and customers. Social media tools are changing the landscape of how we communicate and access information, which is having a dramatic impact on enterprises of all sizes. In this workshop, we will explore the landscape of social media applications and the most typical uses including marketing, customer support, and product development. This session will include:
